Hooray for Super Why!
So recently H has been really into a show called Super Why on PBS. It focuses on letters and books and things which is great. She loves it and constantly tells me that she '"saved the day" and where "super letters' are. The other day P said that when letters come on the show H just randomly says a bunch of letters which is funny, but I told him that one day she is going to surprise us and say the right ones. Today was that day. I had some cut-out letters she was playing with a she dropped two. Immediately she said, 'Uh-oh, I dropped R and Y." I looked and she was right! Apparently she knows several other letters too. I attribute this knowledge solely to Super Why! I am not big on pushing memorization at such a young age so I have not worked on letters with her at all. But all those times when I am in the shower, and she is watching Super Why it is rubbing off! I don't know if it's great parenting to admit that my child is learning from TV, but hey, we're supposed to use lots of methods to teach things so here is just one more method!! So I give a big "Hip Hip Hooray, the super readers saved the day!"

Savannah enjoys that show - It's a pretty catchy jingle too.
We LOVE that show... We've learned the alphabet from PBSkids! Word World is another favorite...
