Parenting Thought #7: Those Moments

Some people have commented to me that they don't know how I deal with being a mother all the time.  The noise, the messes, and the constant talking (at least in my family!) But I really wouldn't want it any other way.  So I started thinking about how we as mothers keep our spirits up, and not only that but get excited for each new day to come.  I've decided it's THOSE MOMENTS.  You know those moments.  When you look around your house and see your oldest reading to the younger children.  When your little boy runs up to you and says, Mommy, I Love you TOO much.  When you see their sleeping faces at night and breath a sigh of relief that another day has gone by and your children are safe and happy in their beds.  Those moments when your baby reaches her arms out for the first time and hugs you as tight as she can.  When your daughter asks if she can be excused from dinner so she can go read for the fourth time that day.  The laughter that fills the house.  The excitement in the eyes of all the children when you start to blow bubbles.  The singing.  The dance parties. The teaching and the learning.  It is all special.  It is all around me every day.  I am a very lucky woman.

I cherish the moments, and the moments are what makes me get up every morning with a smile on my face and ready to face another day.
