It is amazing to me as H & G get older, how different they are in the way they play. H is very calm as she puts all of her toys in certain places and has all different places in the house where stuffed animals are lined up eating, or picnicking or napping. We hate cleaning up her toys because you can tell they are all put there with such thought. She could play for hours with a set of little people, or a group of stuffed animals. She is growing up and is sensitive, sometimes really sensitive, and very aware of people, places, how others treat each other and speak to one another. G is very different, but this post is about H! Here are some things she loves!
Crafts! She wants to do them everyday. One night at 7 pm she asked P to help her do a craft. He chose paper mache! Needless to say, the kids were not in bed on time, but they had so much fun with that nasty stuff that makes me gag. Here is the finished product after two coats of paper mache, two days of letting it dry, and painting it. A dinosaur egg that we proudly display in our family room. She loves to color, cut paste, make tissue paper flowers, and use googly eyes on everything.
She loves to dress up. Every day it's a new outfit with accessories. She is my very own fancy nancy. I imagine fancy nancy's mom has as much trouble as I do trying to get her daughter to decide on an outfit in the morning. Jeans are a no way- they are boring. It has to be bright, pink, purple, and have lots of designs. It is rare if I can get her to agree on pants. But just so you know, this outfit in this picture is strictly dress up. She has a little freedom in what she wears but not this much!
She loves to have her picture taken. She loves to pose. She loves her hair looking cute, but hates getting it done. It doesn't help that the poor child has crazy amount of knots in her hair that I have to get out in the tub. Making bath time a tear fest. Her hair will probably go short again soon because neither of us can handle the tangles.
Questions I asked H: Foods H Loves: sandwiches, corn, watermelon, chips (she wants me to specify sour cream and onion), cherries, pears, strawberries, raspberries
Favorite Movies: Strawberry shortcakes, Christmas movies, Princess movies- Cinderella is one of them.
Favorite Things to do: Make crafts, "spending time with my family", painting things for our Christmas Tree
Favorite Colors: "The whole rainbow, but I don't like white. Because I can't color with a white crayon. Actually, I don't like orange, and I don't like blue, but I like the rest of the rainbow colors."
Favorite Treat: "Sweet candy canes on Christmas, and my favorite thing to drink is (she whispers) hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows."
Favorite Vacation Place: NY, Seaworld, Disneyland, and San Diego(as I am asking these questions I asked her what is on her sleeve, so she licked it and said, "oh, I think it's jelly."
Favorite Holiday: "Christmas that's an easy one. Cause I get to open presents, and it's Jesus birthday. And I get to have fun at home with my family."
Favorite Christmas Activity: Sing Christmas songs with mommy and daddy.

That's a very cute and fun way to capture H at this point in her life! She's got personality- that's for sure! :)
