Labor Day with the Falls

We had a great labor day! We decided to do something in-expensive and good for us so we went hiking. Thanks to my friend R and her kid backpack we set off for a short hike to some nearby waterfalls. We had never been there before but loved it.
G was so smiley in the backpack. He loved being carried up the mountain. So much that he fell asleep at the end of the hike in the backpack!

We were lucky enough to have Grandpa come with us which the kids love. Both kids walked with Grandpa and had fun with him there. So H was a little nervous to go hiking because she thought she'd get tired but after she saw the water, the horses on the trail, the waterfalls, the caves, the dirt and the rocks she was in heaven! She kept saying "I LOVE HIKING! I want to go hiking every day. More hiking, more hiking!" We were pleasantly blown away. Doesn't she look happy! So these were the first waterfalls and we tried to get a family picture. If you look closely you can see G closing his ears. He thought the waterfall was to "yowd" (loud). After the family pic, Grandpa took him and when he asked him if he wanted to go back to the waterfall he said, "no, too yowd." and then cuddled. Ahhh.So this family pic makes me laugh. P and I were both trying to get G to smile but instead we just ended up with this wacky picture but hey it's more true to life!So we came home, G napped forever and then I gave him a sandwich. While I was out of the room, this happened.
Seriously, in the eye? It also was in his hair, ear and neck but we didn't find that until later! Look how funny he thinks he is. Now imagine him thinking he is that funny after doing something naughty about 10 or more times a day and you might get a glimpse into an average day in my house! Hope everyone had a fun day off!
