Birthday, parade, farm, and some cute kids!

Yesterday was P's birthday and we had a fun day.  After a yummy breakfast we walked to the park for the flag day parade.  We say that the parade was for P's birthday instead!  This is H and her friend waiting for the parade.  H said she mostly just liked the candy they were throwing!

So before we left Utah, G didn't even notice if I put things on his head.  He notices now...and he hates them.  This is him showing his true feelings towards his cute hat.  If only he knew how cute he looked, and how much he really doesn't want a sunburned head!

This is out of order, but this is G clapping...kinda.  Whenever he crawls to the TV we say, no no Gavin.  He stops crawling sits up and we say, Yay and clap for him and he put his hands together and raises them in the air.  Then he goes back to crawling to the TV.  

H and I made the cake-he wanted me to surpirse him with the flavor so we chose coconut this year.  I like trying new and different cakes and this one turned out pretty well.  Here is how H helps.

Our little one is growing up way too fast.  He thinks he is much older than he actually is.  He pulls himself up on everything.  H may look like she is holding him up but she is not.  He just cut his fourth tooth-he has three on the bottom and one on the top.  It is really strange how they are growing in.  He is already a bit of a bully which I find a little funny.  H used to sit back and let everyone take her toys but G crawls right over to bigger kids and takes their toys.  

We had fun last week playing at a friends house.  Both of the kids love to splash in water. 

We also got to go to a farm recently.  H said that these pigs were dirty and someone needed to wash them.  Her favorite part was seeing the African chickens that lay green eggs-they really do.

I don't know if you can see all his teeth in this picture.  He likes to crawl over to kids that are playing around him and because he is always teething he has this bad habit of biting them.  He doesn't do it to be mean but sadly he has made a three year old cry!

Things in NY are going well.  The kids are having fun going on walks to the park and seeing the ducklings, seeing friends, going to the library and the children's museum, going to playgroups and H will start swim lessons in a few weeks.  The only thing that kinds stinks is that our landlord decided that he wanted the house back two weeks earlier than he had originally said so he found us a new place to live for the last few weeks of July but it stinks that we have to move only a few weeks before we move.  

This last week H had pink eye and giving her eyedrops is a total nighmare.  We are still crossing our fingers that we don't get it.
