7 months and an update

G is 7 months now and I am sad to report, he is still a terrible sleeper!  But he did have an ear infection-well, both ears-so that does make it harder.  So now we are just trying to figure him out before the big move (more on that in a minute).  But even though his sleep isn't great, he is still a very smiling happy little guy who we adore.  He has almost mastered crawling but right now it's mostly backwards as seen in this picture.
He loves to eat, anything we give him, and wants to eat all the time! 
He loves to take toys out of things but then gets mad after a few minutes and wants them all back in the bucket.  He loves H and lights up when he sees her.  
He drools constantly, which is what P's mom always said about him as a baby, and still spits up but now it's the color of the food he eats which is making laundry harder!  He has a special ability to spit up mostly on me, his Grandpa, and P when he is wearing a suit!
He loves splashing in the tub, getting his diaper changed, and sitting on my lap as I try and type this with one hand! He is a joy to us and anyone he is around because of his smiley face (and his super cute reddish-brown hair adds to his cuteness as well!)

So we leave for our internship next week.  We will be there until the last day of July and then we will head back here so H can start preschool in the middle of August.  We are taking 5 days to get to NY stopping to see good friends in Colorado and Kansas 

(hopefully on the way back we will be able to see some others we know in the midwest as well-and maybe go to Nauvoo on the way back too).  

We are also planning on stopping in Kirtland, OH too since I have never been there. We are renting a mostly furnished house about a mile from the downtown area which will be great so me and the kids can walk to places we need to go since we will only have one car.  We are borrowing some furnishings from friends in the area in order to make the house cozy for us and good for the kids.  So this week it is all about packing up and getting ready for this "extended vacation"!  We are excited to have P have an opportunity to work in a firm in NY and to get the experience he needs to get us the future job we are supposed to have.  See all you New Yorkers real soon.
