Happy Easter everyone! This Easter has been a lot of fun now that H is old enough to actually participate in some fun Easter activities. Here they are in their Easter outfits. H was so excited to wear her pretty orange dress that she was beyond excited when I told her it was the day to wear it.
We did some fun Easter activities. Easter egg hunt at Grandmas, coloring Easter eggs and eating lots of Easter treats, of course.
Here is her and her cousin after collecting some candy. She saw that she didn't have any in her basket, so H gave her some to have-it was a very sweet gesture.
A few days before Easter, H decorated cookies with her good friend M. It is becoming a tradition for them to decorate cookies before holidays. They have so much fun and it is fun to see them dump the sprinkles in one spot on the cookie.
Finally, we tried to help her learn a little about the true meaning of Easter but she just ended up yelling strange phrases out around the house. At one point she was yelling, "Jesus died!" and then she started yelling, "He's coming out of the tomb." I don't exactly know why she was yelling these things but she was very excited about it.
Maybe next year she will get the idea of Easter a little more.
And we are looking forward to G being able to hunt eggs with her and their cousin next year!

Such fun! I like that H and our Baby A have the same Easter dress (though A's is black and white...J-rod was very insistant that HE be the one to pick it out. Baby A has him wrapped around her whittle finger!) I also like how you tied the bow in the front of the dress, it never would have occurred to me. : )
Funny H! I tried to tell the Easter story to Josh with the little Easter eggs that you open and they have symbols of the resurrection. I gave up when I realized it was way over his head. The kids look cute in their Easter clothes! Can't wait to see you guys soon!
Thanks for having us over to decorate cookies. We had a lot of fun. H looked super cute in her dress. I have to agree that holidays are a lot more fun now that they are older
