We traveled 4 hours to Rexburg, ID on Sunday to visit friends. G did great in the car, which is rare for him, and H had so much fun watching Cinderella and Ratatouille (which she calls Mouse cooks). We recently switched to church at 1:00 so it was the first day H didn't get a nap so at about 6:00 (in the car) she fell asleep for a quick nap which gave her plenty of energy to play long into the night. She was so happy to see her friends and played non stop for three days. We ate great pizza, had fun visiting, and eating at a fun candy store. It was so fun to see H have so much fun with friends. G did well although it did set back his sleeping a little so he is sleeping less at night, but I am not convinced it was the vacation and not just a phase he is going through.
Today we took H and G swimming with super fun friends at a super fun indoor pool. I didn't have a swimsuit for G so I ran into Target and all they had was ones that the smallest size was 12 months. So we tightened the strings and he wore swimpants instead of swim shorts but he looked just so cute. I got him one of those little surfer shirts too which was pretty baggy but not nearly as baggy as the pants- he does have a big tummy to fill the shirt out! No pictures though, I guess it was against the rules of the gym. This summer the outfit should fit him at least. H loved swimming and we are working on getting her to put her face in the water. It is a slow process, but G doesn't seem to mind having water splash on his face or the shower run down his face.
Tonight we are relaxing and enjoying the last few moments that P is on break before Monday when he returns to school. It's been a fun week with lots of memories. Hope you enjoyed sharing them with me.
