There have been a few phrases that H has been using that makes us say to ourselves, this is starting Already!
1. I often ask her what she is doing if she is quiet and I can't see her to which she responds...
"Nothing". Really? she is already being sneaky and avoiding answering my question!!
2. After asking H to not climb on the clothes buckets in my closet she responds...
"Why, mommy?" Oh man, not the why questions, she's barely two! And it wasn't a fluke thing- I have heard her ask P why several times as well!
3. Finally after watching her take an M&M off the star cookie christmas tree I asked, "Did you take an M&M" to which she responds...
"No."
Funny funny little child. Oh I can already see future conversations and myself saying, "Because I said so!"

I hated the dreaded "Because I said so" response when I was growing up and swore I would never do it... ha ha ha... I've already said it a few times. Once the "why" questions start you get to the point where you just don't have any more or any better answers and "just because" comes in handy.
BTDT with the "Why?" and yes I have found myself saying "Because I said so". Never wanted to... LOL.
