Some fun summer stuff!

All my pics from SD are on P's computer there, so here are some of our summer happenings from Utah over the past few weeks! Most recently I returned home from a fun week at Girl's Camp (I was a leader!)

So right after we got back from SD we started soccer camp. We got her all outfitted, with pink gear of course, (she doesn't have her team uniforms yet so this is just what we got at the store) and brought her to practice. It didn't go so well. After about 15 minutes of staying with the group I couldn't find her and then I looked way, way, out in the field and there is my little girl. I ran out to her and she said that no one knew her name and no one wanted to play with her and she started to cry. So sad.So we tried again and it went a little better. Here is the thing about H, she is not shy at all, however in large groups of kids she gets a little nervous and she is not real assertive. So she just kinda stays back. So she spent the second day mostly with the flag but notice she is at least nearby the rest of the kids!!This about sums it up.
But I have no doubt that once she has a team and a coach she will love it. She is so excited. I am excited for her since I never played soccer as a kid. I had to call P in SD and ask him how I put on her shin guards but I think we got it!

Next up, fun with H's friend M. They met when they were just barely 3 and both still a little shy. They have been friends since and we are SO sad that M has moved now. She has been so much fun for H and they play so well together. They will be friends forever, as will me and M's mom. We love them and will miss them. We were so like minded that we dressed our children in matching colors this day, which made for some cute pictures.

Happy 4th of July!
This is our fireworks show and our little crew. My sis and bro in law, their daughter, and our two nephews joined us. The kids were all a little scared but I think they had fun in the end! G kept taking my hands and covering his ears which was funny.
Here's the kids in their matching 4th of July outfits that we receive as a gift every year and love! I am all about outfits to fit the holiday!
Getting ready to light off a whole lot of fireworks-
many of which seemed very similar to one another...
Sparkler fun. What a brave little girl! She is not in her 4th of July outfit because she decided to play in the pool in her clothes earlier in the day.
Not so sure but super cute trying. The next day we did sparklers too and both G and I burned our fingers. But this night was smooth sailing.
Finally, Haircuts!! We needed it! Here is funny little G with his little haircut. His lack of teeth is very noticeable in this picture but no worries the teeth are there just not quite all the way through yet!
And a haircut for H as well, thank goodness. You think your daughter gets tangles- holy cow this poor girl sheds so many tears over tangles. Short hair is so much better so here is the before and after!

I think the pictures of Hallie playing soccer and super cute but they kinda make me sad that she was sad no on knew her name. When will she start playing games? We would love to come watch.
Plus I love my face in the picture in your driveway.

Cute! I love the soccer story. This will be our first year not doing soccer and I am sad but excited for the fall freedom.
Haircuts- I need to do them for my kids, thanks for reminding me.
